This site consists of a former hotel that has turned into an HMO/hostel, a house that has been in the family since its construction in the 1960s and not refurbished since, an insensitively extended Edwardian pub and other ramshackle outbuildings. Caleb's Andy Green first stepped onto this site as a Land Manager for Crest Homes in 1999.
The site is in three related ownerships having been owned by the father throughout most of the 20th Century. Sadly renowned for bringing numerous social problems to the village as a result of its various uses, all concerned are looking forward to its redevelopment.
Consent has had to be carefully renegotiated last year due to its sensitive location between two conservation areas and overlapping the edge of the greenbelt, but we are hopeful that the subsequent dialogue with officers will allow a viable solution to be found.
